The Tour:

This VIP tour will take about 2 hours walking through Shenandoah Caverns to experience an underground world of wonders. Shenandoah Caverns is famous for it's Bacon Formations, which were featured in National Geographic; as well as many beautiful formations that give Shenandoah Caverns the reputation as "The most beautiful Caverns in Viginia". The tour is guided by expert Tour Guides Willie Meadows and Joe Proctor, who have both been exploring Shenandoah Caverns for decades.

The Wine:

Cave Ridge Vineyard is a family-owned and operated vineyard and winery located in the foothills overlooking the Shenandoah Valley, which is world-renowned for its scenic beauty and history. Low rainfall and deep rocky soils make this an ideal location for growing the highest quality grapes used to make Cave Ridge wines. Winemaker Randy Phillips sustainably grows and harvests his grapes and then processes them to create wines that are some of the most superior in the Shenandoah Valley.

The Oysters:

A true oyster junkie, Phil Valliant immersed himself in both aquaculture and the restaurant industry most recently serving as the shellfish director for the Michelin starred restaurant “The Dabney” in Washington DC. Having shucked and served quarter million oysters, he works closely with chefs to implement successful raw bar techniques as well as with front-of-house staff to provide oyster education. Valliant seeks to raise the standard of oyster knowledge, presentation and enjoyment for chefs and consumers alike. Growing up on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Valliant has always been closely connected to the environment and the seafood industry. He believes oyster aquaculture is an industry that improves the environment, supporting the local economies, and creates world class delicacies. He has no tolerance for poorly shucked oysters and spends most of his time in his pickup truck with his loyal Labrador and copilot, Fisher.

Small Bites:

Delicious and carefully curated food items will be prepared by Chef Joe Del Puppo. Del Puppo has relocated to the Shenandoah Valley from the Easter Shore of MD to share his passion for scratch-made foods. Each food pairing is chosen to romance perfectly with Cave Ridge Wines.
