Estate-grown wines in the Shenandoah Valley.
Cave Ridge Vineyard is a family-owned, estate-grown vineyard and winery located in the foothills overlooking the Shenandoah Valley. The tasting room was opened by owners Randy and Karen Phillips in 2005 and their estate-grown Virginia wines soon had a loyal following. Their daughter, Megan, later joined Cave Ridge Vineyard as the business manager.
Where is Fossil Hill?
After tasting the Fossil Hill Reserve, a red blend that has won several Virginia Governor's Cup awards over the years, many people ask, "Where is Fossil Hill?" The answer is: you're standing on it! Ammonite fossils have been found on property, many of which were found where the red grape vines grow. The ammonite fossil is such a great part of the Cave Ridge story that it became part of the logo!
